The Bicester Hindu Society (BHS) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and uniting communities across Oxfordshire through the three pillars of community, culture, and charity.

Founded with the vision of creating a space where people can come together in the spirit of service, understanding, and celebration, BHS works to preserve cultural heritage while embracing the diversity that defines modern Oxfordshire.

Our Aims and Objectives

1. Promoting Awareness and Understanding of Hinduism

We strive to increase awareness and appreciation of Hindu values, traditions, and philosophy by organising devotional gatherings and cultural festivals. These events provide opportunities for people from all backgrounds to come together, learn, and celebrate the richness of Hindu culture and its universal teachings of peace, harmony, and respect for all living beings.

2. Encouraging Community Well-being

We actively support programmes and initiatives that promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of individuals across Oxfordshire. This includes collaborating with local organisations on projects that raise awareness of health, wellness, and holistic living.

3. Supporting Charitable Activities

Guided by the principle of Seva (selfless service), we engage in charitable initiatives that directly benefit the wider community. From food donations and partnering with local charities, we aim to support those in need and make a meaningful, positive difference in people’s lives across Oxfordshire.

4. Promoting Education and Employment Opportunities

Education and empowerment are at the heart of community development. The Society supports initiatives that enhance learning and career growth by organising activities such as skills workshops, educational seminars, and career fairs.
